Soles Served, “Zapatos Para Todos”
One of my favorite projects I have worked on was with Soles Served. This project was in collaboration with one of my current clients, the Latin American Tennis Foundation (LATF) and with collegiate tennis programs across the country.
I developed visual assets and messaging for Soles Served, a purpose-driven initiative addressing the footwear gap in under-resourced tennis communities. The project highlights the disparity where countless players lack proper shoes, limiting both their performance and safety; while college tennis programs frequently discard lightly worn footwear.
Through compelling design and storytelling, I helped communicate the mission of repurposing these nearly-new shoes and redistributing them to those in need. The campaign aims to amplify awareness, foster community support, and showcase how a single pair of shoes can make a lasting impact, both on and off the court.
Project Goals
To help Soles Served build brand recognition and initiative awareness in order to attract tennis players and supporters of all ages, with a particular focus on engaging collegiate tennis teams across the nation to participate in shoe donation and redistribution efforts.
The Solution
To support Soles Served’s goal of building brand and initiative awareness, I designed a bilingual flyer that combines strategic storytelling with visual aesthetics tailored to appeal to collegiate tennis players. Bold typography and vibrant, energetic colors rooted in color theory, such as trustworthy blues and engaging imagery, cultivating a youthful and motivational tone. The use of clean lines, layered text repetition, and bilingual messaging like “Zapatos Para Todos” reinforces the brand’s inclusive and community-driven identity. The layout guides the reader through the mission, process, and impact of the initiative, using structured sections to communicate clearly while inspiring teams to take action and be part of a movement that is both socially impactful and scalable.
